  • Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, specifications, material take-offs, and bills of materials using CAD or design software.

  • Perform advanced engineering calculations (stress analysis, load calculations, pressure/temperature analysis), material selection and welding procedure verification.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams — procurement, fabrication, QA/QC, installation and commissioning — to ensure design intent is correctly realized.

  • Conduct project risk assessments; identify potential delays or technical issues and propose mitigation plans.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes & standards (e.g. ASME Section VIII, DOSH regulations) and internal safety/quality requirements.

  • Supervise junior engineers/designers; mentor and guide them; review and validate their work.

  • Interface with clients and stakeholders — attend project meetings, present technical proposals, report project status and issues.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement: optimize design processes, standardize documentation, implement best practices.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in engineering, design or project management — ideally in boiler, pressure-vessel or heavy industrial fabrication and erection.

  • Solid knowledge of pressure-vessel/boiler design codes (ASME Section VIII or equivalent), welding standards, material specification, and mechanical design principles.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent) and comfortable with technical drawings and documentation.

  • Strong project-management capability: planning, executing, tracking, and closing projects.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.

  • Willingness to occasionally travel or oversee on-site installation/commissioning (if required).
